Advisory Board
The Central Valley Political Archive Advisory Board assists in identifying political collections for the CVPA, contacts individuals and groups who may have materials or financial resources to contribute and provides overall advice on the growth and development of the Archive.

In Memorium
Kendall L. Manock (1930-2010)
We have recently an esteemed member of our advisory board. This is our tribute to him.
Ken Manock was a well-known, leading attorney on water, agriculture and business issues. A founding partner of the Baker, Manock & Jensen law firm, Mr. Manock was also very active in the community and had a keen, lifelong interest in books and the arts. One of Mr. Manock’s specialties was federal legislation on water rights, an expertise and knowledge base he freely shared in interviews and in class presentations at Fresno State, his alma mater. Mr. Manock had served on the CVPA Advisory Board since its inception in 2004 and generously shared of his time and experience.

Anthony Capozzi.
Mr. Capozzi is a local attorney specializing in Criminal Defense. He is a former president of the State Bar of California, local legal analyst for Channel 30 news, and Member of Judicial Council which oversees the court systems throughout the state.
Karin Temple Deffebach
Ms. Deffebach, granddaughter of Bernie Sisk, is a management consultant who, along with her mother, Bobbye Temple, represents the Sisk family on the Board.
Donald A. Jackson
Mr. Jackson is a tax lawyer who was a close associate of Ken Maddy. He currently chairs the board of the Maddy Institute and is well known for his long involvement in the political community.
Peter Klassen
Dr. Klassen is a dean emeritus of the School of Social Sciences and a professor emeritus of History at Fresno State. He is a former president of the Fresno Historical Society and a member of the California Council of the Humanities.
Donald G. Larson
Mr. Larson is a retired history instructor from City College whose deep knowledge of Valley politics has made him a frequent political commentator on the local news.
Ken Manock
Mr. Manock is one of the senior partners of Baker, Manock and Jensen, one of the oldest and most esteemed law firms in town, with expertise in litigation involving water policy and rights.
Bobbye Sisk Temple
Mrs. Temple is Bernie Sisk’s daughter, a former newspaper reporter and copy editor who is known to all of her father’s political associates and is actively involved in the community.
John L. Woolf, Sr.
Mr. Woolf is a leader in agribusiness in the Valley. Starting as the manager of Giffen Inc., over the years he has built up one of the largest multi-faceted agricultural businesses in the area.
